Founded by Emmy Award-winning producer Kirsty Stark and based in Adelaide, Australia, Epic Films creates innovative film and television projects for traditional and digital platforms.Working collaboratively with writers, directors and producers, we deliver world-class projects that not only entertain, but lead to real-world change through their messaging and impact.Our work includes two series of the Emmy Award-winning children’s show First Day, impactful short form projects Goober and Unboxed, and the groundbreaking online series Wastelander Panda.


FIRST DAY - SEASONS 1 + 2

It’s Hannah Bradford’s first year of high school. As a 12 year-old transgender girl, Hannah not only has to navigate the challenges that come with starting a new school, but find the courage to live as her most authentic self.

An Emmy winning series, First Day has been recognised with multiple international awards, including a GLAAD Media Award, Kidscreen Award, Rose d’Or and BANFF Rockie Award.
